PERSIANES I TANCAMENTS ABEL, S.L. is a company based in Lleida, specialising mainly in the machining of doors for third partiescarpenters and construction companies.
The company was founded in September 1998 in a small premises in the Bordeta district of Lleida. In 2003, the first industrial shed was purchased, with an increase in space and personnel. In 2014, a shed was rented to install the numerical control and for storing and processing doors.
Recently, in 2022, the warehouse adjacent to the first one was purchased, where customer service was unified in one office and all work and services currently offered by the company were centralised.

To date, PERSIANES I TANCAMENTS ABEL, S.L. has diversified into two sectors:
- The aluminium department, where roller shutters, sunshades, “mallorquina” type blinds, mosquito nets, etc. are produced, with installation service included.
- The woodworking department has a large stock of doors to ensure a fast and efficient processing and marketing service, with distribution of several national brands.
They also offer materials for the installation of doors and parquet flooring from the German brand PARADOR, thus completing the renovation service required by customers.
NEW EXTRACTION AND FILTRATION SYSTEM
The previous dust and swarf extraction and filtration system was not working properly. PLUS MAQUINARIA proposed to the customer PERSIANES I TANCAMENTS ABEL, S.L. the installation of an external vacuum system with silo and sawdust collection. Thus, an FMVZ-C 54 vacuum cleaner with an 11 kW, 15 HP fan from the Italian company VENETA IMPIANTI was installed in 2024 to achieve greater suction capacity, more cleanliness and better air quality in the workshop.

“The filter was installed outside the hall, thus improving fire safety and sound insulation,” says Nati Junyent Mussons, director of PLUS MAQUINARIA.
In addition, VENETA IMPIANTI made all the connection piping between the filter and the fan, with special measurements.

This is ATEX-certified equipment, which complies with the strictest regulations for the protection of people and equipment in potentially explosive environments, with regard to dust and swarf extraction and filtration. “They last a lifetime,” guarantees Susanna Bettin, sales manager of VENETA IMPIANTI, "because of their high quality, reliability and durability."
The vacuum cleaner is equipped with a simple but very effective automatic cleaning system, which works by vibrating the filter bags. This system ensures that no material ever remains deposited in the filters and silos.
An adequate suction system is essential for the proper functioning of machines and their tools
In the 1970s, filter sleeves were used in extraction systems, but there were no cleaning systems. ’Every now and then, when the sleeves became saturated with dust and sawdust, the carpenter would shake them with a stick,“ recalls Susanna Bettin. Then we switched to the self-cleaning system by vibrating the metal plate on which the sleeves are mounted, driven by a vibrating motor. When the sleeves vibrate, the accumulated material falls into the plastic bags underneath or into a hopper. Via an auger, the waste material is taken to a rotary valve, through which it is discharged into the customer's chosen collection system.”
In the case of PERSIANES I TANCAMENTS ABEL, the collection system is a Big-Bag or Maxi Saco, with extraction from the bottom. A large bag that collects all residues generated during the extraction of the joinery machines, which is emptied into a container of an external company that takes care of the recycling, without causing interruptions or downtime in production.
An extraction and filtration system that stands out for safety and long-term reliability
The Maxi Saco is the solution chosen by PLUS MAQUINARIA's customer for the collection of residues. However, under the rotary valve, it is also possible to connect a briquetting machine, to continue with a circular economy, recycling residues and transforming them into energy.
Another option is to place a container of varying size under or next to the machine.
A QUANTUM LEAP IN WORKING MATERIAL
PERSIANES I TANCAMENTS ABEL is progressively innovating its machinery, with the aim of modernising and optimising its production system and improving customer service. Today, the Catalan company has an adequate suction and filtration system, the result of a careful preliminary study of the volume of residues generated by the machines. This has been solved by choosing the most suitable vacuum cleaner model, its optimal location and the installation of piping and inlets for each machine. “A good vacuum system is crucial for the optimal operation of machines and tools,” emphasises Nati Junyent, director of PLUS MAQUINARIA.
“We took this step mainly to reduce the noise of the extraction system inside the plant,” explains Marta Porta, deputy director of the Lleida-based company. - With a more efficient system, much less dust residue from cutting and processing wood and panels can be seen inside the plant. This undoubtedly improves the health conditions for our workers; hearing health is better preserved and the inhalation of suspended dust particles is reduced to practically zero".
